Farm Tours

Tours of Mango Hill Farm are available through our local tour bus operators or for groups of 20 people or more. Here are some of the scenic delights to be enjoyed along with delicious Devonshire teas and quality organic produce available for purchase at the farm.

First Stop – the creek (allow 30 mins)

1. Stop just before crossing the old stone bridge over the creek. Passengers can alight and walk down the stone ramp on the left just before the bridge and wander quietly along the creek. The creek is home to platypus, snapping turtles, wild and tame ducks and over 100 species of birds including the beautiful kingfisher whose home is a hole in the bank of the creek.

2. After following the creek east for about 100 metres a small timber foot bridge under a spreading tree provides a crossing to the farm where a walk through trees on the high bank of the creek brings one back to the bus waiting on the farm side of the creek.

Second Stop – view from the ridge (allow 15mins)

3. Drive passed the ginger and organic vegetables and then along under the tall timbers of the western boundary of the farm. Keep a lookout for koala often seen in the stringy bark trees.

4. A good view of the farm and surrounding farms is available from Haystack ridge.

Third Stop – cottage and potage garden (allow 45 mins)

5. Return the same way but instead of crossing the stone bridge travel up the hill to the old farm cottage, processing facility and potage garden. Level parking is available at the top.

6. Devonshire tea is served in the packing shed. One of the toilets is a  unisex toilet, designed to accommodate a disabled person.

7. Stroll around the grounds of the 100 year old farm cottage and enjoy the views of Bald Knob and Mt Beerwah – the largest Glass House Mountain - from under the old Jacaranda.

8. Wander through the 500m2 fenced potage garden where many interesting vegetables, fruit trees and herbs are identified.

9. Certified organic dried mango, organic ginger enrobed in organic chocolate and ice-cream, fresh and syruped ginger and other organic products are available for purchase
